A Hazardous Materials Survey is a comprehensive survey to identify all hazardous materials at a Property that may fall under local, state or federal regulation. Hazardous Materials Surveys are particularly important during demolition or remodeling of a building.
  Scope of a Typical Hazardous Materials Survey:

A Hazardous Materials Survey includes any material whose method of testing, removal/abatement, or disposal may be regulated by local, state or federal regulations and may include:

Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM);

Lead-Based Paint (LBP) or Lead-Containing Paint (LCP);

PolyChlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) in transformer oil;

Lighting ballasts;

Mercury switches;

Generator backup batteries;

Freon coolants;

Residual containerized supplies;

Sampling of surficial soils due to evidence of chemical releases, and
